He was the grandfather of Erik Grantz '90 Katie Grantz '96 Dimmit Jeffrey Grantz '98 (Nicole Willis '98 Grantz) Emily Grantz '99 Michelle Beal '96 Julius (Brian '9​5​) Matt Beal '00 and Vickie Hauswald '02 Lucas.  He was great-uncle to PHS head boys basketball coach and assistant athletic director Andrew Grantz.​

Memorial services have now been announced as follows: Memorial Prayer Service September 28 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville Indiana.  Memorial Gathering September 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Cedarbrook Camp on Corydon Ridge Road Corydon Indiana.

Tony was the father of Kaitlyn Kull '13 and brother of Rosemarie Bachman '69 Rogers Martin Bachman '72 Elaine Bachman '74 Miriam Bachman '76 Robertson Bernard Bachman '78 Grace Ann Bachman '81 Engleman Joseph Henry Bachman '84 and Constance Bachman '86 Terry.  He was a nephew of Mary Sue Bachman '59 Renn.
